21 Months Old!

Kiera is 21 Months Old today...and demanding a drink...they grow up so fast :)

She is the cutest little person I've ever met! She counted to 16 the other night and Sean and I almost lost it...not to mention knowing the lyrics to songs, reading books to us, and her exceptional art work :) We feel very lucky!

Kiera's favorite things this month are:

• Cooking in her new kitchen.
• Playing with her blocks and saying, "this one goes on top".
• Reading her Big Sister book before bed.
• Laying in "the pillows" on our bed to read before we go to bed.
• Still LOVES brushing her teeth with a passion...and has 4 more coming in right now!
• Loves to get naked to go "pee-pee in the potty".
• Newest enjoyment is taking showers...too much.
• She has a new favorite stuffed animal every day that she insists on taking to daycare...lamby still rules the roost though, of course :)
• Loves the "compooter!"
• Favorite foods are: anything smothered in cheese or cheese in general (so mac n' cheese), broccoli, cauliflower, chicken nuggets, pizza, raisin toast, bagels, sausage, strawberries, blueberries (always a fan favorite), apples, "nanas" or as we call them-bananas, goldfish, popcorn, pretzels...it could go on and on.

We've also been preparing for the arrival of her new baby sister, Caitlin, a little bit as well. Kiera says, "Cait-in" when she goes to poke at my ever growing belly and kisses her. The other day she was walking around patting her own belly saying, "Cait-in in here!" It's too much to handle. We bought a bassinet/pack 'n play for our room and are still debating what to do about the Kiera-bed-crib situation...but I'm just going to wait it all out and see how it goes. I don't want there to be TOO much change in her life all at once and I'm not ready to put her in a bed, so for now, this is good. We are going to rearrange her room though and put in a closet organizer so that we can accommodate two sets of girls' clothes! Sean says I'm nesting already...fine, whatever :) But to hell if I'm not going to be 100% organized when this new small being enters our family...there will be too many uncertainties to not have the little things arranged WAY beforehand!

In three short months Kiera will be two years old...and a big sister in three and a half! Oh my good lord.

Belly Shots...

Which holds a whole new meaning now that I'm a mom :) haha....But really...I have been so bad at taking belly pictures with our new baby girl, Caitlin! I'm so sad about this, but I think I've come to the realization of why this is happening this time around. I was SO good about it with Kiera. Every Friday morning I would get up, do my thing, get dressed and go downstairs to take a picture of me and the belly. Well...this go-round I have to get up, do my thing, get dressed, go downstairs, pack bags, get lunches ready, go back upstairs, get the small being up, dress her, brush hair and teeth, make sure we have all lambys, start the car, put on shoes, coats, scarves, wrestle dogs and get in the car. SO...I can completely see why I haven't been able to get this on the priority list of setting up the camera and taking pictures.

Now you may say, "why not take them at night then?" Well the answer to that is simple...I'm HUGE at night. It's like I ate a basketball for lunch and it's just sitting in my stomach. I feel weird and fat...and not the best like I did with Kiera. *sigh* So, to my poor neglected Caitlin, I am so sorry! I promise that you will have a few belly shots before you're born, but I just can't seem to get on top of it! My third trimester is less than a week away, so I will make a third trimester resolution to take more belly pictures!
